Here we have a nice 14 inch bandsaw that comes complete with a cabinet stand, a high-quality model that comes with plenty of user-friendly features. It might be a bit pricey, but it’s one of the better options out there at this time.

The JET JWBS-14DXPRO 14-Inch Deluxe Pro Band Saw, as the name implies, has a 14 inch sawing capacity, but at the same time, it also features a 12 inch resaw capacity. This bandsaw comes with a powerful 1.5 HP motor, which should be more than enough to get through virtually any material.

It features a 2-speed poly belt drive system, another beneficial aspect, as it’s always important to have a bandsaw that can handle different cutting speeds.

Cutting accuracy with the JET JWBS-14DXPRO 14-Inch Deluxe Pro Band Saw is also easy to achieve, as it features a blade guide post with a rack and pinion adjustment system, plus it comes with an easy-to-view blade tracking window as well. What’s nice is that the cabinet stand comes included, and yes there is room for storage inside of the cabinet.

However, do keep in mind that this thing weighs nearly 300 pounds, so it’s not exactly portable.

Here we have another nice bandsaw, one that is a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the one we just looked at. It still comes with a stand, albeit an open stand, and it has a few other beneficial features to speak of as well.

The RIKON Power Tools 10-324 14" Open Stand Bandsaw is a model that features a long lifespan and a high level of durability. It comes with upper and lower ball bearing blade guides which are designed to increase thrust and reduce friction.

This helps increase blade life and it helps provide smooth cuts as well. The rack and pinion guide post is another feature which helps a lot with accuracy, and you can easily adjust the cutting depth with it.

The extra-tall rip fence, a 6 inch fence, is something else that helps increase ease of use. The 1.5 HP motor is more than strong enough to get through most materials with ease.

We like how the RIKON Power Tools 10-324 14" Open Stand Bandsaw comes with an included stand, one that has some storage capacity, although it is not exactly a cabinet, plus it’s not very portable at all.

Moving down the line, next is yet another even more affordable bandsaw, this one coming in at another couple hundred bucks cheaper than the bandsaw we just previously looked at. It’s still a nice bandsaw, just not quite as powerful.

So, the Grizzly G0555LX Deluxe Bandsaw is a perfectly fine option to go with, especially for jobs that don’t require quite as much power. It features a single phase 1 HP motor, which is powerful enough for basic needs, but be aware that it does not have a speed adjustment, and it is not the most powerful out of all bandsaws.

That being said, it does feature a nice cast iron construction, which makes it super durable and long lasting, but it does weigh around 250 pounds, so it’s not that portable either, but for us it’s not a huge deal.

The Grizzly G0555LX Deluxe Bandsaw also comes with a nice cast iron table, another durable part. Moreover, it comes with upper and lower ball bearing blade guides for increased thrust and reduced friction, plus a nice extruded aluminum fence, as well as a decent miter gauge.

​The rack and pinion guide post is adjustable, and it’s something else that helps with cutting accuracy. We would like to see the stand have some storage room, however.

Here we have a nice little bandsaw, one that is fairly small, could be considered somewhat portable, and has a decent level of power. Now, it’s not the biggest, most powerful, or fanciest bandsaw out there, but it has some decent features and it’s affordable too.

Something that stands out about the WEN 3966 Two-Speed Band Saw is that it weighs only 150 pounds and it comes with its own stand that it can be separated from; some would call this portable and convenient. Now, the motor might not be the most powerful, but it does have some amps behind it and it should be able to handle most tasks — except for the very toughest of jobs.

What is nice is that the WEN 3966 Two-Speed Band Saw features a 2-speed system, so you can choose the cutting speed.

The WEN 3966 Two-Speed Band Saw comes with some other nice features, such as a heavy-duty work table, a reversible fence, a work light, a good dust port, various blade options and more. It also comes with a decent miter gauge.

This is a bandsaw best used for smaller and medium size jobs, but super heavy duty it is not.

Here we have by far the most affordable bandsaw on our list today. It’s not too big or powerful, but it gets the job done.

What’s nice here is that the Central Machinery 14 Inch Bandsaw features an all cast iron frame and table, so it is quite durable, plus it comes with a nice lower cabinet. It is not painted and it does not look very fancy, almost unfinished, but it still works just fine.

It comes with a decently powerful motor and 4 speed settings to choose from, a decent fence and miter gauge, plus the table even tilts too. It’s just a super basic bandsaw.

When it comes to very sharp, durable, and user-friendly hand saws for cutting logs, the Stanley 20-045 15-Inch Fat Max Hand Saw is absolutely one of the better options out there right now, not to mention that it is very affordable.

The Stanley 20-045 15-Inch Fat Max Hand Saw is a high-quality option, which is in part thanks to the stainless steel blade which is designed for ultimate durability and longevity, as it can easily withstand cracking, denting, and no, it won’t corrode either. The blade is also designed to be hard enough to work its way through most logs, but also flexible enough to provide you with a bit of leeway.

It can bend a lot without breaking. Moreover, the Stanley 20-045 15-Inch Fat Max Hand Saw comes with induction-hardened teeth that stay razor sharp for up to 5 times longer than normal hand saw teeth, plus the 3 cutting surfaces make quick work out of any logs.

The thick and ergonomically designed comfort grip will provide you with good grip and is easy to hold.

Now, this is definitely not your average hand or foxtail saw, as it features a very unique double edge design. This saw is Japanese and it looks like something a Samurai would slay his enemies with, but in fact, it’s a great hand saw that has multiple uses, plus it’s super durable, although significantly more expensive than our first option.

In terms of pure versatility, the Ryoba 9-1/2” Double Edge Razor Saw for Hardwoods is up there with the best of them. This saw has one side that features cross-cut teeth and another side which features ripping teeth, and therefore you can perform multiple tasks with ease, both tasks which require more accuracy and quick cutting jobs.

The Ryoba 9-1/2” Double Edge Razor Saw for Hardwoods is designed to cut hard and abrasive woods such as maple, oak, teak, and other exotic woods. We like how this saw comes with a long handle that is wrapped in rope, as it provides an excellent grip, although it is not the most comfortable handle around.

Keep in mind that double-sided saws require caution when using.

If you need a basic and classic hand saw, one that is long, sharp, flexible, and can get most jobs done with ease, one that is also affordable, the GreatNeck N2610 – 26 Inch 10 TPI Cross Cut Hand Saw might be a good option for you to look into.

One thing that stands out about the GreatNeck N2610 – 26 Inch 10 TPI Cross Cut Hand Saw is that it is 26 inches long, which is quite long for this kind of saw; on one hand, it’s not the most portable option around, but on the other, it is made for large logs with large diameters. It can definitely handle big pieces of wood with ease.

Furthermore, the GreatNeck N2610 – 26 Inch 10 TPI Cross Cut Hand Saw is made with a high carbon stainless steel blade that is very durable, corrosion resistant, and is not going to chip or crack anytime soon. It’s made to be flexible enough to handle some bending and knots in the wood, but hard enough to ultimately cut through more or less anything.

Here we have a decent little pull stroke hand saw that is ideal for small jobs. It’s great for smaller branches and logs, but nothing huge like the above option could handle.

The blade on this thing is slightly over 8 inches long, which should tell you enough about the size of job it can handle.

The Vaughan BS240P Pull Stroke Handsaw features a stainless steel blade with precision teeth designed for making quick work out of anything in its path. Now, we know that the blade on this thing is not very long, which means that it is not ideal for large logs or branches, but it can handle smaller jobs with ease.

The teeth on the Vaughan BS240P Pull Stroke Handsaw are designed for quick backstroke cutting, they are indeed ridiculously sharp and they can cut through mostly anything. The problem is that it really only cuts on the pull stroke, and not the push, which can be an issue.

That said, the Vaughan BS240P Pull Stroke Handsaw does come with a really nice handle that provides a good and comfortable grip.

This might be the final option on our list today, but it is still a good one. It’s a medium-size hand saw with very sharp teeth, and it comes in at a reasonable price.

Here we have a good 15 inch handsaw, one that has a fairly long blade, so it’s a decent option for medium and fairly large jobs. This hand saw features triple ground precision teeth that cut several times faster than most other hand saw teeth out there. The special taper of the blade allows for great precision, as do those sharp teeth, plus the taper also helps increase clearance.

When it comes down to it, the IRWIN Tools Universal Handsaw might just be the best option on our list, due to its sharpness, durability, comfort, and versatility.
